Why Evolve OT?

Evolve Occupational Therapy addresses health and wellbeing through a client centred, holistic and activity focused lens. We offer accessible, high quality, innovative, scientifically supported and inclusive services. We support a wide range of individuals with differing strengths and challenges, throughout the lifespan. We aim to educate, enable, engage, and empower individuals to become experts in their own wellbeing allowing them to live complete lives full of meaning and fulfilment.

Clients are considered through a client centred and trauma informed lens. Cultivation of a strong therapeutic relationship and a feeling of safety between client and therapist is of prime importance.

Our therapists are highly trained and experienced. Each therapist holds a unique, expert skill set and you will be matched with the therapist that best suits your needs. Therapists are members of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) and are registered occupational therapists through the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC).

Interventions are bespoke, scientifically supported and agreed upon in partnership. They will be informed by the client’s unique goals, interests, strengths and areas of dissatisfaction.

We treat the whole person. We see people holistically and recognise that bodily systems, meaningful activities our daily life and environment are inextricably linked and influence mental and physical health and engagement. Interventions address the mind and the body, the environment and activities, connection and motivation, support and important roles. Our intention is for individuals to experience lasting, positive change in multiple areas of their life.

Transformation can occur when we build meaningful activities into our lives, find meaning in the everyday, can engage in what is important to us and feel connected to the people and environment around us. We help clients achieve this through supporting engagement and fostering connection with the self, others, meaningful activities and nature.

We use engagement in meaningful activities, lifestyle medicine strategies, CBT techniques, somatic practices, psychoeducation and a range of scientifically supported techniques to craft integrated interventions based on unique client needs.

We consider the whole family and social context in our interventions. No one exists on their own, therefore it is important that we support carers and loved ones. We offer advice and practical support to help and guide you.

We want our clients not to need us anymore! Our aim is to empower clients and equip them the tools, skills, confidence and knowledge they need to become experts in their own wellbeing.
