We are delighted to announce our four week ReWilding Club!
Join us on Saturday mornings from 13/04/24- 04/05/24 for outdoor adventures, fun and reconnecting with nature! Our club is designed and facilitated by registered occupational therapists. It takes place in a small group setting and is set in private woodland on the outskirts of Bangor. This special setting offers a chance to grow and learn in a safe, nurturing, and unique environment- and we will even use a special “Hobbit House”!
Our aim is to support children to connect with nature and experience all the benefits it has to offer. Members of ReWilding Club will have the opportunity to explore the great outdoors, engage in fun purposeful activities, garden and grow, identify plants and animals, make dens, relax in hammocks, create art, learn breathing techniques and yoga- to name only a few activities!
ReWilding club aims to help children grow curiosity and wonder for the natural world, supporting development of a lifelong connection with nature, encouraging long term wellbeing and environmental stewardship.
Sessions are rooted in eco therapy and integrate a number of supportive disciplines that are scientifically proven to promote: positive mental health, concentration, self-regulation, self-esteem, team work and confidence.
This is an inclusive programme. Our occupational therapists are experienced in neurodiversity and welcome all children into this environment.
